Notable Assignments

  • Datatronic AB: From 1979, Peter was a partner and management team member at Datatronic AB. Over the next decade, the company grew into the world's second-largest data company through strategic acquisitions of Victor Technologies in the USA, and Handic companies in Gothenburg and Holland. The company expanded from 12 employees to a global enterprise with 21 subsidiaries, 2,000 employees, a turnover of 2 billion SEK, and an annual profit margin of 10%. Datatronic/Victor, listed on the stock exchange, was sold to Tandy Corporation in the USA in 1989.

  • CEO of Handic: During the growth phase of Datatronic, Peter served as CEO of Handic, successfully launching the Commodore C-64, the best-selling home computer of all time, and the Handic allemansparabol, the first affordable consumer satellite dish.

  • Reorganization of Victor USA: Peter managed a complete reorganization of Victor USA, relocating production to Japan and reducing the workforce in California by 3,000. He also oversaw the relocation of the company's headquarters in the USA.

  • Senior Advisor During Banking Crisis: During the banking crisis of 1991-93, Peter worked as a Senior Advisor to various Swedish banks, focusing on corporate issues.

  • Branding and Licensing in Asia: In the late 1990s, Peter concentrated on branding and licensing in Asia, collaborating with Itochu Corporation and IMG Mc.Cormack's former Asia head.

  • Senior Advisor at Skandia: During the IT crisis in the early 2000s, Peter acted as a Senior Advisor to Skandia and a member of the management team at Prosper Capital, managing 90 companies. Over four years, he helped recover approximately 2 billion SEK for Skandia, preventing significant losses in its Private Equity holdings.

  • International Assignments: In the late 2000s and early 2010s, Peter frequently commuted to London, Paris, Tokyo, and Seoul, leading a major restructuring of a renowned French fashion designer and artist's business, working closely with insolvency specialists, economists, and financial partners.

Since 2013, Peter has primarily focused on assignments in Sweden, though some international projects continue. He typically conducts initial due diligence for companies, proposes measures with owners and boards, and initiates the turnaround process. If a legal restructuring is necessary, he involves appropriate external lawyers and auditors to contribute their expertise. In total, Peter has been involved in over 250 companies. Peter usually leads and coordinates the process, leveraging a vast network to ensure efficiency and integrity.

 

 

Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) Roles

In many of his roles, Peter has acted as Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO). A CRO is responsible for developing and implementing a company's restructuring plan. This includes stabilizing the company's finances, improving operational efficiency, managing stakeholder relationships, and navigating the company through financial distress to achieve long-term stability and growth. The CRO plays a critical role in crisis management, often taking charge during periods of significant change or financial difficulty.

  • Chairman of the Board, Atlas Design AB: For six years, Peter served as the chairman of this family-owned fashion company with subsidiaries in the UK, Germany, and Italy.

  • Chairman of the Board, Jean Charles de Castelbajac: For three years, he led this well-known luxury fashion brand based in Paris, handling restructuring, legal matters, and an M&A with a large Asian company. During this period, he worked closely with HSBC London’s risk credit department.

  • CRO at Saxlund AB: Managed the restructuring of some subsidiaries of this publicly listed company in Sweden.

  • CRO at Anytech Boats: Worked on restructuring the company and subsidiaries.

  • CRO and Chairman, Industrial Group of Companies in Sweden, Indumate AB: Appointed by a US court and administrator, restructured and then sold the individual companies within 12 months.

  • CRO at Energihem Sverige AB: Worked with a large reconstruction ending in an asset sale to a Swedish PE company.

  • CRO for Sushi Yama AB: Led the first legal reconstruction in Sweden under the new reconstruction law from 2022, setting a new guideline for reconstructions.

  • Chairman of the Board Nordic Special Care Equipment Company                           Medema Group: Working with increasing net profit through more efficient KPI management within purchase and production, for this privately held company headquartered in Oslo with production in Denmark. Voted at shareholders meeting as Chairman  June 2024.

  • CRO Preparing Work: During late spring, -24 worked with two PE owners on a major legal reconstruction announcement expected at the end of June. Under progress.
